Reading Notes: [[Macleod's Stories from the Faerie Queene, Part A]]

1. Sir Guyon: Britomart sees the love of her life through a mirror. The mirror ends up being an evil enchantress that traps Britomart in the mirror. Little does the evil enchantress knows the man that she shows Britomart in the mirror is actually real. He ends up saving Britomart and killing the enchantress.
2. How Britomart fought with Six Knights: Florimell is a Elf that bewitches all the male knights including Arthur and Sir Guyon. Doesn't bewitch Britomart because she is a woman. Florimell doesn't know this fact and Britomart kills the elf and saves her fellow nights.
3. Britomart in Castle Joyous: No story ideas.

4. The Magic Mirror: Mirror depicts the lies that Britomart conjures up after she leaves the room. The mirror then goes on to show Artegalls death by the hand of Britomart's knight friend. By then the princess Britomart had already left the room, thinking the mirror showing Artegall was all it was going to show. These acts all unfold and out of anger the princess blames the mirror. Therefore, smashing it, but the mirror is unbreakable and comes back together again. 

  • Princess if forever tormented by her own actions.
  • Mirror is hidden and is found hundreds of years later. Now sits in a museum creating havoc for various guests that were just as steadfast and eager as the princess Britomart.

5. The Cave of the Magic Merlin: Merlin tells Britomart what she wants to hear for his own selfish reasons.
  • False wizard?
6. Britomarts Quest: Britomart the Brave (working title). Tales of her bravery. Tales of her fighting and the compassion she has for the poorer of Fairie Queene.
  • Becomes Joan Of Arc like.
  • Burns at stake like Joan?
  • Becomes martyr and her death starts a very dangerous war, maybe the 100 years war? Hmm...
7. The Castle of Churl Malbecca-No story ideas. 
8. How Britomart Walked through Fire: Magic shield helps her walk through fire. Shield was forged by the powerful wizard Merlin and has special gifts for withstanding the elements.
  • Explain how the magic shield saved Britomart and the other knights at the Churl's castle during a great storm (flood and etc.).
  • Be bold has a significant meaning to the castle, explain that meaning
